Lewisburg Menu | Prison Fellowship | Support Groups – September 9, 2024

The Federal BOP shares almost the same menu across all prisons- camps, low, medium and high security. Here is the current Lewisburg Camp Meal menu:

This changes very slightly each quarter. All breakfasts include two 8 oz fat free or 1% milk and a fruit (either a small apple most of the time or a banana sometimes). Lunches include either a fruit or whatever dessert they are serving, typically cake, breakfast bar, bag of cookies or an ice cream cone on Wednesdays. Sauteed green peppers and yellow onions are added to most lunches and dinners, which I like. I never eat the overcooked vegetables, so they are not included on this menu. When I work at Unicor at Allenwood Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) our lunch trays are typically the same, but we don’t get ice cream and almost always just get fruit. Once in awhile we get a good piece of cake, likely because they have a culinary program.

Prison Fellowship (https://www.prisonfellowship.org) has a program called Angel Tree where inmates can request to be involved as they can get Christmas gifts to send to their children and they help send the kids to camp, etc. Here is the link to the program: https://www.prisonfellowship.org/about/angel-tree/. I’m not looking for donations myself, but but there are many kids with parents in prisons who don’t have much and would love the support!
